What is Compa Index?

Compa Index is a real-time, market data and offer intelligence product. Unlike traditional compensation surveys, Compa Index is real-time and based on offers. By connecting to your applicant tracking system (ATS), Index automatically aggregates accepted and rejected offers across Compa’s network of customers and provides aggregated market insights.

Compa Index also provides a dashboard for your internal offer history and performance. Using Compa Index, you can understand your own offer trends, such as acceptance rate and average spend by job and location.


Is Compa Index the same as Compa Offers?

No, Compa Index is a market data product for compensation teams, and Compa Offers is an offer management platform for recruiters.


What’s the difference between offers-based data and employee-based data?

Whereas traditional compensation survey data is based on employees, Compa Index is based on offers. This means the individual records in Compa are transactional data, similar to the stock market or housing market. Offer data is fundamentally real-time and full of rich meta data insights, like offer volume and win rate.


Where does the data come from?

The data comes from your applicant tracking system (ATS) and Compa’s customer network. Compa Index integrates with your ATS, such as Workday or Greenhouse, and combines your data with other companies to return aggregated, real-time market insights.


Is the data crowdsourced?

No, the data is sourced from systems of record, not self-reported data.


Does Compa Index use verified data?

Yes, Compa Index uses only verified accepted and rejected offers from your applicant tracking system (ATS).


Why can’t I find anything about Compa Index on Compa’s website?

Compa Index is a new product currently in stealth and available by invitation only to launch partners. In 2023, Compa will publicly launch Compa Index to the overall market.
