How often do you struggle to get the right pay range for the right job? Do you have to wade through emails, or search for an elusive spreadsheet somewhere out on the network?

With the Guidelines feature, Compa helps you find your company's policies on how much you can offer candidates. We connect your guidelines to jobs and manage access in the backend so you can get to the data you need quickly, accurately and securely.


To get started, navigate to the Guidelines tab from the left-hand navigation bar.

From this screen you can view:

  1. Available Guidelines by job family

    1. Access and visibility to Guidelines is controlled by your Administrator based on user permissions defined during implementation

    2. Organization of Guidelines is based on data configuration during implementation. For some organizations, groupings could be by function, families, departments, teams or other attributes

  2. Summaries related to active and past candidates for each Guideline


Once you've found a Guideline, select it's card to view additional details.

  1. View details for Guidelines including base, bonus and stock

    1. Data will be representative of information provided by your Compensation / Total Rewards team during implementation

  2. Includes number of active and past candidates as well as the job levels being used in the job family

  3. Choose different location and/or job levels to see associated guidelines


Wait! What if your organization doesn't have Guidelines? No worries - we'll just hide the option in the menu bar.
