📝 Pay transparency legislation goes into effect January 1, 2023

You cannot:

  • Seek salary history

  • Ask current / prior employers

  • Require prior compensation satisfy certain minimum or maximum criteria

You can confirm salary history if voluntarily disclosed, or after an offer has been extended

📌 You must:

  • Disclose the wage scale or salary range (and give a general description of all benefits and other compensation) for all job postings - regardless of applicant request or if an offer of employment has been made (applies to employers with 15 or more employees)

  • Provide the salary range to employees, upon request, for any transfers or promotions
